best-long-tail-keyword-tool

Are you writing amazing content, but not many people are visiting your site? The problem may be not your content, but keywords which you are using in your posts and pages. In this post, I will cover the best long tail keyword tool which may help you quickly and easily increase traffic to your website.

What Are Long Tail Keywords

Google Keywords:

You’ve probably heard about Google keywords. They are simply keywords which people type into a Google search box to find content on the internet.

For example, a person is trying to find a good food processor. This person will go to Google and type in something like “best food processors

This person is obviously getting ready to buy a processor but is unsure what type/brand is best.

Another person may want to learn more about KitchenAid food processors, so they may type in “KitchenAid food processor” and research further.

All of the phrases which are being typed into Google search box are called Google keywords.

Long Tail Google Keywords

Now, let’s discuss what long tail keywords are. Keyword examples as above will bring up a lot of results, but guess what, a lot of such keywords have already been used. This means that if you choose to create a blog post using those keywords, your website will not rank very high in Google and will likely not even be found on the first 10 pages of Google.

Why do you want to end up on the first page of Google? Well, have you noticed your own search tactics? Do you ever go to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, pages? Most people rarely look there. They go to the first page and if they don’t find something they are looking for, they are quick to type another phrase into the search box.

Short keywords are probably already all taken and will not help you to get to get on the first page of Google. The key is to use long tail keywords which may contain 4,5,6,7 and more words.

Using example above, we can use a longer keyword that someone may be using to look for food processors such as “best KitchenAid food processor for a low price.”

This keyword has likely not been used too often on other websites and may not be as targetted. This means that you may have a great chance to land on the 1st or 2nd page of Google; therefore, getting more organic traffic.

Best Long Tail Keyword Tool

Now that you know why long tail keywords are important, let’s talk about different types of keyword tools.

There are many free and paid keyword tools that will show you basic information such as monthly keyword search, keyword competition, and will even suggest keywords you may not have thought about.

All this is great, except that to really know if your post can get to the 1st page of Google, you need more data to analyze.

This information consists of your competitor’s website age, whether or not they are targeting the keyword in the title and in URL of the post, and how many backlinks are pointing to their website.

Without all of the competitor information, there is no way to really know how competitive a keyword is; therefore you may be wasting your time writing amazing content but not targeting keywords that will work for you.
